Privacy Policy

What is collected

Nothing. Reckato has no account system, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no crash reporting. No personal information is gathered, transmitted or sold, because none is ever received.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter — figures typed into a tool, the household details you give the benefits finder, the tape, saved formulas, saved scenarios, your chosen theme, and the salary and state used to price things in your money — is stored only in the app on your device.

None of it is uploaded. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Settings offers controls to clear the tape, the figures tools remember, and what the app knows about your pay, without deleting the app itself.

The few network requests, and what they reveal

A handful of features show figures that change through the day, so they fetch from a public source when you are online and cache the result to keep working offline. None of these requests carries an account, a name or any identifier of you beyond what any web request unavoidably reveals to the server it reaches, such as your IP address:

• Exchange rates, for the currency tool. • Stock-index levels for your country (for example the S&P 500, the FTSE 100 or the Sensex), shown as delayed quotes on the For-you screen. • The central-bank interest rate, where it is shown live. • Weather for the For-you screen — this one sends the ZIP or postcode you chose to add, so a forecast can be returned for that area; it is sent only if you add one, and only to fetch the weather.

Each request is made only when that feature is used or shown, and the results are cached. Every other tool in the app works with no network at all.

Links out of the app

Some screens link to an official page — a tax authority, a benefits office — or to a service that can help you act on a figure, such as comparing savings or loan rates. Tapping a link opens your browser or that app; Reckato itself sends nothing about you when you do.

If one of those links ever earns Reckato a referral fee, it is a plain link like any other — it does not track you, share anything about you, or change the figure the tool shows you, and the app will say so where such a link appears. Reckato carries no advertising.

Purchases

Reckato Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — Reckato never sees your card details, name or billing address.

The app asks the store whether this account has an active subscription and stores only the yes-or-no answer on the device.

Children

Reckato is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Your rights, wherever you live

Because nothing about you is collected or stored by Reckato, there is nothing for it to access, correct, export, delete or stop processing on your behalf: every figure lives only on your device, under your control. The only processing that leaves your phone is the handful of requests above — exchange rates, stock-index levels, the central-bank rate and, if you add a ZIP or postcode, the weather for that area — each made only when you use or view that feature. Their lawful basis in the UK and the European Union is your own request for that feature (performance of the service you asked for); each service receives your IP address for the moment of the request (and, for weather, the area you entered) and nothing else.

If you are in the UK, the European Union, Canada, India or anywhere with a privacy law, you keep every right that law gives you, including the right to complain to your data-protection authority. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with the app update that changes it, and the date above will move.
